Art

Palm Beach-based artist Hadley Finch is an extremely talented artist who currently attends Southern Methodist University majoring in Studio Art. She focuses on a variety of mediums. Hadley is one of my best, most special friends, and although I'm biased toward loving her work, I truly admire her perspective and everything she creates. Hadley is going to be a famous artist one day; she already is to me, an honored spot on my favorite artist's list.

The husband and wife author and illustrator team Anne Gutman and Georg Hallensleben illustrate this popular European children's series. The storyline follows Gaspard and Lisa, two six-year-old bunnies' best friends, as they experience the challenges and wonders of family, schooling, and their Parisian neighborhoods. These beautiful illustrations warm my heart and remind me of innocence and the love within my own best friendships.

Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara's images captivate me; he celebrates the individual's freedom, especially in the youth who have yet to have their imagination hindered. Nara has had nearly 40 solo exhibitions since 1984. His artwork has been housed at the MoMA and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. I resonate with the display of the innocence of children with emotional depth and darkness.

Steph Schuren is a photographer from Toronto, Canada, who was initially pushed into photography by his friends in music. His first love was film making, but he eventually came to love the process of photography more. His images hold a lot of emotions and vivid angelic colors. I first came across his work through his personal Tik Tok account and was drawn to the innate beauty of his work and immediately reached out to purchase a print from his newest collection. His print is my first and favorite piece of art work in my new apartment.
